Apple announced significant progress in reducing supply chain emissions by expanding renewable energy use among its suppliers. The company said supplier-backed clean energy capacity reached over 20 GW in 2025, more than doubling since 2021, as part of its broader push toward carbon neutrality by 2030.
The company estimated that clean energy adoption in its supply chain helped avoid more than 26 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions in 2025. Additional reductions came from energy efficiency improvements and the use of low-carbon materials, further strengthening Apple’s overall sustainability efforts.
