Crusoe and Blue Energy are collaborating to develop a large AI data center in South Texas that will eventually run on nuclear power. The project will initially operate using natural gas by 2028 to start quickly, before transitioning to modular nuclear reactors by 2031 to ensure a clean, steady energy supply. Blue Energy plans to build these reactors faster and more affordably than traditional nuclear plants using prefabricated components.
