Major rift among automobile makers over calculation of carbon credits under CAFE norms

As per Businessline, there are dissensions among Indian automobile manufacturers over calculation of carbon credits. Hence, no consensus could be reached in a meeting held in February, between original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) over the Corporate Average Fuel Efficiency (CAFE) regulations, which aims to reduce the overall carbon dioxide from a vehicle’s exhaust.Read more
